It appears that when one of my projects is loaded in VS2012 (a custom project type in a package), VS2012 is asking for an 'ItemType' property using the OAProperties.Item() method. This happens for each node in the project hierarchy. Because this property was never added by the OAProperties constructor, an ArgumentException is being thrown by the last line of the method.
I don't recall seeing this error in VS2010 and wondered if it is a new property in VS2012. More to the point, what is it used for and why is it not being added in the constructor?
