First I have to say that I am a complete novice when it comes to setting up a web server, but to keep the grey matter active I have tried.

First of all, after, many attempts I managed to set up Apache (2.2.22(Win32)).I then registered a host name with “no-ip.com” and constructed a web site using FrontPage (version 2002 SP 3). I can view this site ok.

Next I tried to set up IIS (7.5) to look at the same web site. Having stopped Apache I am able to set the web site using the internal IP address. However when I try the host name to view the site I get a message “the web site is on line but not responding to connection attempts”.

Since I can see the site with Apache, am I right in assuming that this problem is not one of permissions but something else. What am I missing!!!!

My system is running Windows 7 SP1 (64 bit)

Any help would be very welcome
