I think I need Integrated....

Hello,

I have been researching for a while and with a lot of historical information available, I am slightly confused and heading down several dead ends. Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated.

The scenario is that I have a separate application - completely standalone. It contains an design experience that for various reasons, should not be hosted inside a VS environment. BUT - part of the experience allows users of the design experience to select existing C# objects and to call methods in instantiated instances of the objects. All works - is great.

Now what I want, is for a user to be able to launch VS from inside my app - I want them to be able to author an object, using .Net Framework 4 (or mono). I want them to adhere to VS solution formats and to have source control integrate etc. When they are done developing their object, I want them to be able to come back to my editor and see the new object they just created as available.

For those that have used Unity3D (games) - you will see this exact same experience. This is what I need to replicate.

If you can provide me with some advice (a dead simple example would be awesome, e.g. inside button click handler, call this....).

Many thanks for your help.

Best,

Brennon
