Hello guys,
I have an extension (VSIX) developed. The extension is deployed in the appropriate for VS 2013 folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0\Common7\IDE\Extensions). However it doesn't show up in the Tools -> Extensions and Updates dialog. If I install 'PowerShell Tools for Visual Studio 2013', suddenly my Extension shows up. If I install the latest VS 2013 Update 5, then my extension shows up as well.
The question is there something else I need to do for my extension to show and be enabled in VS 2013. I have suspicion VS 2013 might have some kind of third-party extension disabling mechanism by default. How could I analyze further why the extension is not showing?
