I have a freshly installed Windows 10 Education system with Visual Studio 2015 Enterprise installed. I have several extensions installed including Resharper Ultimate, Xamarin, and PowerShell Tools of which I successfully installed all through the built-in
Extensions and Updates options in the Tools menu. I created a new project using code first Entity Framework and attempting to install the Entity Framework Power Tools extension after modifying the manifest to make it support 2015 as per Julie Lerman's blog
post because I am addicted and spoiled to using the graphical readonly designer to validate my model with. The vsix file does not install nor does anything open upon running it by double-clicking it. I have tried to restart. I even installed Studio 2013 Community
edition to see if the unmodified visx would install but all to no avail. I tried to open with Visual Studio Version selector and even tried to run in visual Studio command prompt via the VSIXInstaller.exe <vsix path>. Nothin works and I am getting no
feedback as to if anything even happens upon running the vsix extensions. I installed the Entity Power Tools with Studio 2015 on this same computer when I had Windows 10 preview installed. I did have many programs installed on that version including Studio
2013 Ultimate. I just did a fresh install of Windows 10 Education because the preview had many bugs that were not getting fixed via update when my other computers with 10 but the rc version did not have the bugs. Please help me to get to a place were I can
install extensions that I download. It is weird that extensions install fine in Visual Studio but since the extensions is not downloadable for 2015 I cant install it in Studio. I did verify that no vsix files will install by downloading a few other vsix extensions
that have 2015 as a supported version and those will not install either.
