I would like to write an Azure worker role to call into VSO and create work items, check work items status, etc. Office365 allows for this type of non-interactive authentication via principal ID's and shared secrets. Looking at the authentication documentation for VSO I see how to create a VSO app and how to setup the OAuth authentication but no way of doing non-interactive authentication (not counting basic auth). Does VSO support principal ID's like O365? If so can someone point me to the documentation for it?
If it is unclear what I am asking for this blog post shows how to authenticate from Azure to O365 SharePoint. I am trying to do the same thing but connecting to VSO instead of SharePoint.
